The famous town of St Ives has some excellent venues licensed for civil weddings and partnerships. The beaches are close by and are a must for your wedding photographs. You're probably getting married or thinking of having your wedding in St Ives because of its amazing beaches; Porthminster Beach as you approach St Ives, the Harbour Beach, Porthgwidden and last but not least Porthmeor Beach very popular amongst surfers and opposite the Tate Gallery.

The venues, Tregenna Castle overlooks St Ives, Porthminster Hotel is closer to the town, Pedn Olva overlooks St Ives and Porthminster Beach. My favourite that has everything that I, as a wedding photographer St Ives, could wish for is Tregenna Castle. The grounds are fabulous and very spacious and there are some lovely views down to St Ives which I feature in many of the weddings I photograph at the hotel; plus, the added benefit is that it's only about 15 minutes drive from my home.

I am always asked if it will be possible to take my couples to one of the beaches; it's never a problem. I remember photographing a wedding some time ago and the bride, a very keen photographer, was desparate to have some shots on Porthmeor Beach. It was raining but she was more than happy to get some wet and wild photographs taken. She looked slightly windswept to say the least after we'd finished but was so happy that we had managed to capture some great images that she was thrilled with.
